1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Markdown Editor Online (the “Service”), operated by Numrush, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Markdown Editor Online provides an online Markdown editing platform with features including but not limited to live preview, Markdown-to-PDF conversion, Markdown-to-HTML conversion, Markdown formatting, and document sharing. The Service is available in both free and paid tiers.

3. Accounts and Registration

Certain features require you to create an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@markdowneditoronline.com

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, convert, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code through Markdown input or file uploads
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or other tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or paywall restrictions
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all Markdown content you create or upload through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., rendering previews, generating PDFs). We do not claim ownership over your content and will not use it for any other purpose. The Service itself, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by Numrush and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans (“Pro”) are billed on a recurring monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period

7. Free Tier and Usage Limits

Free accounts are subject to daily usage limits (e.g., number of PDF exports, HTML conversions, and formatting operations). These limits reset every 24 hours. We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits at any time. Abuse of the free tier, including creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits, may result in suspension or termination.

8. Shared Content

When you share a document via a public link, that content becomes accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for the content you share. We may remove shared content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Numrush and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, regardless of the theory of liability. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Numrush and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, India.
