What Is an Excel to Markdown Converter?
An Excel to markdown converter turns a range of spreadsheet cells into a markdown pipe table you can paste into GitHub, Notion, Obsidian or any documentation site. It accepts the tab-separated text that Excel places on the clipboard when you copy cells, and it can also open .xlsx files directly so you can pick a sheet without leaving the page.

What Survives the Conversion
Markdown tables are plain text, so some spreadsheet features have no equivalent. This is what happens to each:
